What is the make and model of the motherboard?  Do a Google and find the manual.  It will tell you how to clear the bios password.

Have you tried entering nothing, that is, blank password?

I have never run into a password protected bios but I believe the Ultimate Boot disk has something that will clear it.  Have you got that valuable CD?  It should be part of you C4C tool kit.

Hi Pierre,

Here is my first question for you (many still to come)

There is a BIOS password on PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0.C

I tried to reset the password doing the following:

*Removing CMOS Battery:

-approx. 15-30 minutes and then put it back but it fails

-removed it over night and then put it back but also it fails

*Using Motherboard Jumper:

I couldn't find any jumpers; it seems to be no jumpers on this motherboard

* Using Backdoor Manufacturer BIOS Passwords:

I used the following 4 passwords but it fails,

  BIOS
  CMOS
  phoenix
  PHOENIX

PS: the machine doesn't have any operating system installed

I appreciate your support

Shady Hafez
