Good morning / afternoon to you all...The LRIT Reflector is finally up and
running. We do apologize for the delay in getting this service up and
running but after a few tests it appears that it is ready to be used. As
you will note, the e-mail address for our LRIT Working Group will be,
<mailto:CCGLRIT-GCCLRIT@lists.ncf.ca> CCGLRIT-GCCLRIT(a)lists.ncf.ca. All
correspondence within our group will be carried out using this e-mail
address. Every time one individual sends an e-mail or responds to an
e-mail, everyone on the "membership list" will be copied. This feature will
ensure that everyone is kept well informed of all discussions, decisions,
meetings, etc. If we have forgotten anyone or you know of someone that
should be on the list, please do not hesitate to contact me so that I could
amend the list accordingly.
Our second meeting will be held in Paris, France, at AILA Headquarters. A
block of rooms have been reserved at the Villa Des Impressionnistes Hotel in
Bougival

proximity to AILA headquarters, however we will provide transportation info

September 6 at 9:00 am and will end on Friday September 8 at 5:00 pm.
The meeting discussions will focus on finalizing the details of our four
required documents :

Neil Trainor;
2. The International LRIT Data Centre standard - Point of Contact =
Bill Cairns;
3. The communications within the LRIT System Network standard -
Point of Contact = Craig Hayley; and,
4. The testing standard = OPI TBD.
The meeting will also provide an opportunity to discuss and provide input
into our fifth deilverable, which is any guidance the group can provide to
the Committee with respect to setting up and maintaining the LRIT Data
Distribution Plan (DDP).
If you have any questions regarding the logistics of the meeting or any
other issues, please do not hesitate to either contact Sam Ryan or myself at
