Description:

Incident Without Loss - On August 04, 2010, an employee was driving to work on a rural highway in the fog, before the break of dawn, when a cyclist on the highway with no bicycle lights, wearing dark clothing, was encountered. The employee just missed hitting the cyclist.

Immediate Response:

Lesson Learned: Defensive driving techniques save lives. Also - if you choose to cycle on the highways or streets ALWAYS wear higher visibility clothing and have lights on your bicycle between dusk and dawn!
