French Nationals at the UofO
Speak French?  Like winning?  French Nats are coming up at the University of Ottawa March 12-14.  Registration is only $30 per person.  This includes the cost to participate in the tournament, the hardware you take home after winning, and a Saturday-night banquet at Tuckers Market Place. It is a all-you-can-eat buffet which typically has tasty treats such lamb, roast beef, stir-fry, and tons of dessert including cheesecake!  Ben is interested in attending, but he's looking for a partner.  Discuss this on the CUDS forumView the CUDS schedule to see how this tournament fits into our year.  If you do not have access to the forum, sign up and then email me your user name to be granted access.

Dorchester Cup Schedule
The following is the schedule for this weekend's Dorchester Cup Debating Tournament.  If you are not volunteering, we encourage you to come out to observe the final rounds of debate on Sunday: they should make for a good show and an excellent introduction to parliamentary-style debate for those unfamiliar, as well as just a fun time.  If you are volunteering, please read the following notes:
  1. We need helpers for Friday to set up the registration desk.  If you can be present at 4:30, please report to the registration desk in front of Theatre B (Southam Hall).  We need all the help we can get.
  2. All other volunteers for Friday must report to the registration desk by 6:30pm.
  3. For Saturday, please be arrive by 8:30am and report to the Tabs room (102 Azrieli Theatre).  For Sunday, report to the Tabs Room by 9:00am.
  4. We will be having an all-you-can-eat buffet banquet at Tucker's Marketplace, Saturday evening.  Volunteers who help out or judge for all five rounds Friday and Saturday can come and eat for free.
  5. We will be e-mailing specific people to help out with specific tasks this week.  This e-mail will be sent out Wednesday.  If you do not receive an e-mail, simply show up by 6:30pm on Friday.
  6. If you have not confirmed your availability with Marion (treblenoi@hotmail.com), please do so immediately.
  7. Contact Wayne Chu (dorchester@carletondebate.org) if you have any questions.
Thanks for all your help, and see you Friday!
