Help with the Yes! Campaign

On February 8 and 9, students will be asked in a referendum whether or not to grant the Debating Society a one dollar student levy.  But we need help!  Running a campaign takes a lot of time and effort, so we need help from absolutely every club member in order to mount an effective campaign.  If you would like to help out, contact Padraic at yes@carletondebate.org.

For more information, you can visit http://www.carletondebate.org/yes.  The website will be up shortly.

Lord Dorchester Cup Help

On March 4-6, we will be holding the 2005 Lord Dorchester Cup, our annual intervarsity debating tournament.  It's always a great time, but to put on a good show, we need people to be judges, runners, and help out with other logistical tasks.  Over the course of the weekend, you'll be fed and have access to a great party.  So, mark your calendars and if you would like to sign up to volunteer, contact dorchester@carletondebate.org.

University of Ottawa High School Tournament

This weekend (February 4-5), the University of Ottawa English Debating Society will be holding their high school tournament and they need help with judging.  If you would like to judge, contact the tournament director, Meg Wilcox, at englishdebatingsociety@yahoo.ca.
