It was a great success and everyone learned a tremendous amount. Thanks especially goes to Mike Koterly and Erik Estaugh for giving up there day to help. For those who missed the training day we have an audio recording of the seminars which we can distribute if interested. We hope to see everyone out at our meeting on Wednesday. The meeting will be in the Prescott Multi-purpose Room in Prescott. 
<br><br>2) Novice Tournament<br><br>We have received the names of a number of people interested in going to the Novice Tournament at York University. We will be leaving from ResCom at 10:00am on Friday. We will return to Carleton on Sunday night probably around 10pm. Accommodations will be provided at a hotel close to York University. In terms of clothing, Friday is pretty relaxed in terms of dress while Saturday and Sunday is normally a little more formal. We do however need final confirmation of all people who are going by Wednesday. If you singed up for the tournament please e-mail

the debate-off this week. Possible times include Tuesday evening at
7pm, Wednesday afternoon starting at 2, Thursday evening starting at
7pm. Sign up for these is on CUSIDnet. We encourage people to sing up early for any and all tournaments. The Tournament Selection Committee will make their decisions shortly regarding who will be attending the tournaments.&nbsp; Also if you are over 21 and have a valid drivers liscence please indicate this as we need drivers. This year we will be&nbsp; sending teams to the following tournaments:
<br><br>Guindon at U of O on the weekend of October 12th to 14th. We encourage all debaters to attend this tournament. <br>Hart House Invitations at U of T on the weekend of October 19th to 21st. <br>Yale IV at Yale University on the weekend of October 25th to 28th.
