As per CUSA regulations, all CUDS members must pay a $5 (five) membership fee. Those who pay the fee, and only those, will be considered Members in Good Standing and will be able to:Notice of Constitutional Amendment
(Those attending the Novice Championships next week may pay the membership dues the following week).
- Vote at all Business Meetings and Executive elections.
- Attend Society events, seminars, and other activities.
You may submit your dues, along with your name and e-mail address, to any club Executive during our regular meetings.
A Constitutional Amendment has been proposed and will be voted on at our regular meeting on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. The amendment will require all those who wish to attend external CUSID tournaments to pay a $20 annual membership fee ($5 base membership fee, plus an additional $15 membership fee). It will take effect after the Novice Tournament.Upcoming Tournaments
This vote is open to all members of the Society and must pass with a two-thirds majority of all members present. To vote, you must pay the $5 membership fee prior to the vote (you can pay the day of).

The following positions are vacant in the Society:
The VP Debate and Novice Representative positions will be elected the Wednesday, October 6, 2004. (Members in good standing who cannot attend will be able to submit a proxy vote). If you would like to run, contact the executive at exec@carletondebate.org with your name and position(s) you would like to run for.
- Vice President, Debate - Responsible for organizing internal Society debating activities and for external tournament registration.
- Novice Representative - Represents the views of novice members and acts as a liaison between novices and the senior members of the club and Executive. Recommended for those wishing to be on the Executive in future years.
Candidates will asked to speak for a few minutes and entertain questions. Voting will then commence, immediately followed by the vote count. Results will be released immediately.
