Dear Friends:
Although this may be repetitious to some of you, please
allow me to remind everyone as well as inform others who may not be aware of
the Vivint Contest which gives the National ME/FM Action Network a chance to
win $100,000. You need to vote
daily and must be registered on Facebook as it is the way Vivint is tracking
the votes.
The contest is from June 14th to August 27th,
2011. An easy way to do it is to
go to the National ME/FM Action Network website at http://www.mefmaction.com
and scroll down and click the Vivint logo which will lead you to the voting or
go to
http://www.vivint.com/givesbackproject/charity/855
on Facebook.
The National ME/FM Action Network ranks 3rd in
the top 20. However, the leader is
about 11,000 votes ahead and has a strong international following. No. 2 position and us No. 3 are close
in votes.
For the National ME/FM Action Network to have any chance we
must pull all our efforts on the ones who have a chance to win. If your favourite you are presently
voting for is way down and doesn’t have a chance of winning, please consider
voting for us. We have a proven
track record and are presently in the last stages as host for the IACFS/ME
international research and clinical conference to be held in Ottawa from
September 22nd to 25th, 2011. For those who are not
familiar with our accomplishments, they can be viewed on our website. The National ME/FM Action Network
spearheaded the drive for a clinical case definition, and diagnostic and
treatment protocols for ME/CFS and FM, The Canadian Consensus Guidelines!
Your efforts voting for the National ME/FM Action Network is
not in vain as the timing is excellent to get people to become aware of ME/CFS,
FM, MCS and chronic pain who not normally would be exposed or in need of
contacting us. Here is a chance to
become an ambassador for our cause and to spread awareness by voting and
spreading the word. Opportunities
are few and far between where we have a chance to enlist the help of family and
friends to spread the word. A
unique exposure in free advertising about illnesses where research and support
is so important.
Due to confidentiality reasons, I am unable to name names
but we have patients so ill who are bedridden but have taken on playing a role
that occupies their very little energy as they want to do their part in
spreading awareness. Thank you so
very much for all your efforts and wanting to make a difference.
A special thank you to Tessie Tess, Alison R., Aileen, Joanne S. and Marly our little
liaison army.
