Tuesday 7 October, Mississippi Blues
Society hosts two Blues Jams with Barry Buse, Al
Tambay and guests, one at Thirsty Moose, Carleton Place and the other at
Elmdale House in Ottawa.

Wednesday and Thursday 8 & 9 October, Bass Line
Station hosts first an acoustic jam and then on Thursday an
electric jam.

Thursday 9 October, the Stellar Cast Blues
Showcase is at Irene's, 885 Bank St. Hosted by Mike Ktenas and
Corky Kealey. Featuring sit-ins by Ottawa's best roots and blues musicians.

Thursday 9 October, Not a musical event but a
hike from Kingston to Ottawa by musician, Mike Lush of the "Still Dangerous"

Facebook Group now at about 55,200 members since its
origin.
Memphis Blues Challenge
Outcome - Liz Sykes reports that
after
two semi-final rounds (Wednesday, September 24 & Wednesday, October 1), four
Ottawa area bands advanced to the Finals on Thursday, October 2. The judges
chose MonkeyJunk to be the OBS representative at
the International Blues
Challenge, February 4-7, 2008 in Memphis TN. Congratulations to Steve Marriner,
Tony D and Matt Sobb.

far, the group has 244 musicians and fans from Ottawa and elsewhere. If
