Passed on to Ottawa
musicians for any interest they may have.
Hi ,
The Early Bird deadline
for the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is approaching soon on July
15, and we would appreciate it if you and "Ottawa Blues, Jazz and Swing Guide"
could please distribute this information to your members and anyone else you
feel might be interested.
Entering on or before July 15 means savings on
multiple entries ($30 for the first entry and $22 for each additional entry).
After July 15, the entry fee is $30 per entry with no discount for additional
entries. The deadline for all entries is September 21, 2011.
ISC accepts entries from amateur and professional
songwriters, artists, and musicians. More than $150,000 in cash and prizes will
be shared among the 68 winners, including an overall Grand Prize of $25,000 (US)
cash and $20,000 in music equipment, services, and more including a scholarship
to Berklee College of Music's Summer Performance Program for the winner of the
Teen category. Not only does ISC give away the largest cash Grand Prize of any
songwriting competition in the world, but ISC also has the most high-profile
judges, the most categories, and the coolest winners. ISC has lots of great new
judges for 2011, offering the opportunity for an artist to have their music
