Hello Ottawa Blues Supporters!

UPDATES - IBC
If you haven't already heard, this year's International Blues Challenge (Memphis TN) was a great success.  Canada's, Harrison Kennedy from Canal Bank Shuffle placed 2nd in the Solo/duo competition!  Canadians have certainly been leaving their mark at the IBC these past few years!

Our OBS band, Al Wood & the Woodsmen, made the Semi-Final round; our OBS Solo/Duo, Brandon Agnew & Benny Gutman overcame some technical difficulties the first night and played two solid sets to an appreciative crowd.  Both OBS representatives did us proud!

Paul Jones won a Keeping The Blues Alive Award (KBA) presented during the IBC's, KBA Award Brunch.  Paul (and the BBC) recorded some of that event for a one- hour BBC program which includes interviews and performances by Canadian Harrison Kennedy (from the Solo/Duo Finals) as well as Band Category winner, Lionel Young Band.  It's available on the BBC website (though only until February 20).

OTTAWA BLUES RADIO
Our OBS President, Liz Sykes will be interviewed on James Doran's weekly show, "Inside the Blues" on Sunday, February 27 on 101.9 DAWG FM.  James' show airs 6 - 8 p.m. and hour two will include this interview.
