My baby is home, safe and unharmed!!!
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for your concern, interest and support in retrieving this most valued part of my world. Many of you I don't even know, but on the power of Cyndi's word, you were willing to help. That reinforces my belief that all musicians are part of the same "extended" family, and I am grateful to be counted among you.
It turns out that the thief pawned it at a neighbourhood store within the hour of stealing it. He obviously had no idea what he had as he only got $70 for it!!! After all, that is a cheap price for a 1990 Fender Precision fretless, set up with an active EMG jazz pick up configuration. In fact, it is the only one like it that I have ever seen.
So, in this case, all ends well. I will be much more careful in the future.
Lesson learned.

I’m sending this to every person I know who is involved in music. I’ve left the names visible so we can minimize repeat sends. I’m hoping you will forward it on to all of your musician friends as well.
My friend Dave Johnston’s car was broken into and the guitar stolen yesterday afternoon. It is a rare and treasured instrument and there is likely only one in Ottawa. If you see one in a music shop, pawn shop or see someone playing one, it could be Dave’s please contact me or Dave, contact info is below. We have a chance of finding this guitar if we get the word out fast enough and far enough. Please help and forward this message. It has been reported to the police and Dave and I will be contacting every music and pawn shop in town.
