The Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) is pleased to announce
the
grand prize winners of the 16th annual Songs From the Heart
songwriting
competition, sponsored by Galaxie, Your Musical Universe. Nearly
200
submissions were received this year and the judging was difficult.
Ontario
songwriters are masters of their craft as shown by the long list
of
incredibly gifted past winners of the Songs From the Heart
competition.
The 2010 OCFF Songs From the Heart winners
are:
Galaxie Rising Star Award - English: Ambre McLean for "Me, My Heart,
And The

Runners-up
will be announced this fall, at the same time as the Colleen
Peterson Award
winner.
