Hello advisors. If you are a CIRA member you would have received an invitation (see example below) to go to their new community engagement space and complete a lengthy survey about engagement and programming. If you are like me, you probably also didn't pay it much attention and went on to the next e-mail on the list. Today I landed on that e-mail again, went into the site and completed the questionnaire -- took me about one hour as I like to make lots of comments. This is the first time that I am aware of that CIRA has invited members to offer comments on so many aspects of their operation -- even asks what you think of being contacted directly by candidates during an election? There are tons of opportunities to make comments -- not just looking for yes or no responses. So, if you ignored the message (example below), I am urging you to go back and consider completing the survey. The survey is open till March 15th. CIRA does lots of things right but it has been operating for years with very little change to its processes. Board and organization accountability to members is an issue that has been swept under the rug every time it comes up. This is an opportunity to get your thoughts on the record.
