Very funny. Actually, did you know that bikes come in left hand and right
hand drive versions? The brakes on my British Bike are reversed, probably so
the rear brake is on the left hand as the right hand is supposed to do most
of if not all the signaling!
Just remember, until Napoleon, everyone drove on the left including the
Greeks and Romans! The French have a lot to answer for! (Sorry Dan!)
See you Weds.

Hi James:
So that's why I see so many people riding on the wrong side of the road.?
They're British .
Wednesday night would most likely be a good starting point for the new
rider.? There are some people traveling a liitle slower in the group as they
are new as well or have heavier bikes.
See you Wednesday for CAN-Bike

New Cyclist
by James Lively
Hi Folks,
Which of the evening/Sunday rides would be most suitable for someone new to
longer distance cycling, getting ready for MS. Bike Ride bearing in mind she
has a heavier bike and doesn't do 25-30Kph?
BTW. We'll both be doing the Rotary Ride on June 12.
See you Weds. at the Can-Bike. I have some questions I need clarifying as I
ride as I was taught in the UK. reversed of course for riding on the right!
:-)
James.

CAN-Bike
by Ann McKenzie
Hi All
A friendly event reminder and a little information about parking.
CAN-Bike Workshop will start at 6:30
Address and directions below
If you are driving to the site you may need to park infront of the court building and walk to the Treatment Centre. The soccer fields are utilized Wednesday evening so parking will be at a premium. Please do not park infront of the Treatment Centre itself as it is also "Open Swim" for the clients of the Centre.
I have arranged to be in our staff room which has large windows this way our bikes can be parked in full view of the room. We can use the Staff entrance which is located on the left side of the building.
Request?
I'm looking for a couple of people to help keep us organized. You know...direct people collect money....That kind of thing. I just need one or two and would like them there about 6pm. If interested please let me know.
Hope to see you all there. Looks like it could be a big group.
Ann
Directions within Chatham
