Police said on Saturday morning, a female citizen was riding her bicycle along McNaughton Avenue in Chatham in the designated bicycle lane. As the cyclist approached a vehicle improperly parked in the bike lane to attend a yard sale, she was nearly struck when the driver opened the door to exit the vehicle. Police said the driver was in a rush to get to the yard sale and didn't notice the cyclist.
