Subject: Help needed with publicity for Peterson Program
Just as it takes a community to raise a child, it takes a community to have a successful
education program. We need some HELP!
If you have the time and energy to help by encouraging even one person to register, you
could win! Every time you mention either the Public Lecture or the CME workshop to
someone let him/her know that if s/he writes your name at the bottom of the registration
form where it says "NAME OF REFERRAL SOURCE", you will benefit.
For every Public Lecture registrant that writes your name at the bottom of their
registration, one ballot with your name on it will go into a draw for a free registration
to the Public Lecture. (if you have already paid, you will get a refund). There is no
maximum, the better your chaces. Draws for free registration will be made on Wednesdays
April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th.
A grand prize winner, the person who refers the most Public Lecture registratrants, will
be announced during the lecture on May 1st and will receive a $100 gift voucher from the
health/grocery store of his/her choice.
For every CME Workshop registrant that writes your name at the bottom of their
registration, you will recieve one free registration to the Public Lecture (or $25 per
registrant if you have already received a free registration). There is no maximum, the
more people you refer, the more you earn.
A grand prize winner, the person who refers the most CME workshop registrants will be
announced during the lecture on May 1st and will receive a $100 gift voucher from the
health/grocery store of their choice.
Here's what to do:
1. Come to the office this Saturday April 2nd between 2 - 4 pm to meet others who will be
helping out to discuss strategy and publicity ideas and pick up supplies. For those out
of town and out of province, I will email a list of the ideas to you after that meeting.
We need out of towners to help with this as well. We want to improve health care not only
in Calgary but all over Canada.
2. Post copies of the public lecture notice and/or the CME Workshop notice wherever
allowed and appropriate (stores, libraries, gyms, health food stores, health care offices
etc.) Add a note so that people who register after seeing your notice will quote your
name (please use an alias for security).
3. Use email, facebook or twitter to spread the word and increase your referrals. If you
are using facebook or twitter our "links" are listed in small print here:
There are TWO facebook links:
Click on "link" and when they get to the page to click on "LIKE".
Then to "share" the information on your profile.

4. Let the office know if you think someone whom you have referred has registred so that
we can put that name on your "list". If you have used an alias, let us know the
name so that we can keep track of referrals. We will record each referral once paid
registration has been received.
5. Posts on the contest and other program information will be updated weekly by email,
Facebook and twitter.
Working together we CAN make a difference. 30 days and counting.
