Dan,
I came across this website from a friend. Do you think we could sign up to be a “Ride of Silence” location? I could help by letting the media know but I need another rider to help me with some logistics. It is FREE to ride, participate etc. It’s a peaceful and slow ride around the community in support of riders who have died or been injured. We would need to decide on a starting location… I was thinking either the Competitive Edge or Union Gas parking lot (just over the bridge). Then we have to decide on a route. I will contact the media to ensure we get coverage and radio announcements why we are riding slowly in a big group etc.

Fw: Bikes.More info.
by Geoff Clement
To the group.
I have some more detailed info on the two bikes that my friends have for sale. I think this will help if you're interested.
Let me know if you need more help or contact Jill. see below.
Geoff.
Hi Geoff,
Here is more information about the road bikes.....
Both have .....
Shimano 600 components...
Titanium frames
Triple T Bars
Continental Grand Prix 3000 Kevlar Tires (700 x 23C)
Mavic Rims
These bikes were specially built to accommodate my messed up wrist after the car accident, that is why the shock forks, and I picked out the components, frame, rims etc. myself, and had Racer Sportif build them.
They are not off the rack bikes.
Originally each bike cost $5000.
They have been ridden about 500 miles.
The tires were new two years ago, but we never got out to ride them, because Diane broke both wrists.
And as I have said before, these bikes are kept hanging inside where it is warm.
The Black trim bike has a Mozo Stratus Q front shock fork. A regular fork could be installed instead, if one wanted to change the fork on either bike.)
The Blue trimmed bike has a Marzocci front shock fork. Both of these shock forks are for road bikes, they are not mountain bike forks.
I will attach pictures with measurements....and other pictures of my bike's components......components are the same on both bikes.....only the forks are different.
We are asking $1500. firm for each bike.
Thanks

First Wednesday Night Ride and MS Ride Meeting
by Ann McKenzie
Hi All:
Well let's make it official.......
Our first Wednesday night group ride will be April 14th, 6:30pm leaving from Competitive Edge parking lot. After our ride I'd like to invite all who are interested in or who have already registered for the Grand Bend to London MS Rona Bike Tour to join myself and Vic Beacock at Tim Hortons to discuss the possibilities fundraising as one big group this year and seeing if there is interest in joining to two groups, "Rodger's Angels" and "Crusty's Crew" together as one larger group. We will discuss the advantages and perks of the merger at the meeting.
If you have never participated in the MS tour but are curious please feel free to attned the meeting, we'd love to tell you all about it.
Oh...... In case it rains and we don't cycle (This will depend on how desperate we feel about getting a "road fix" in) We will still hold the MS Tour meeting)
Thanks Guys
Can't wait to hit the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question for Matt at Smiths
by Ann McKenzie
Hi Matt
A little birdy told me that you have a group meeting at Smiths on Wednesday nights bringing their own trainers and riding as a groups.
Just wondering if this is an open group group. I'm just starting back with my training. Trying to rebuild my endurance and wondeing what the posibilities of joining you would be.
I'd need to look at purchasing a trainer for my bike as well. i've been base building on the spin bikes at the gym but it's just not the same.
