highway in the fog, before the break of dawn, when a cyclist on the highway with no
bicycle lights, wearing dark clothing, was encountered. The employee just missed hitting

Lesson Learned: Defensive driving techniques save lives. Also - if you choose to cycle on
the highways or streets ALWAYS wear higher visibility clothing and have lights on your

Agreed. At the CK Council meeting where spending plans were discussed, signage was the
only one defeated since councilors didn’t want “sign pollution.” Ridiculous ideas such as
only having signs at the “city limits” were put forth.
