Tell Mama - December gigs
by Shelley Montreuil
Hello everybody. Tell Mama has a couple exciting gigs coming up in
December.
On December 16th we will be playing the Almonte In Concert Christmas Gala at
Pinehurst. This event starts around 10:00 after the Gospel Christmas
concert (with Jackie Richardson and Sharon Riley) at the Old Town Hall is
finished. Tickets are $35 and tax receipts are available as this event is a
fundraiser for Almonte in Concert. Pinehurst is a beautiful heritage home
in a beautiful setting.
On December 23rd, Tell Mama is hosting the annual Night Before The Night
Before Christmas Foodbank/Interval House fundraiser. Don't worry, Keith
Glass and friends will be there as well but we have taken on the organizing
and promotion cause Keith has become a daddy to a beautiful baby girl who
needs his attention right now. Mostly Harmless will also be joining us for
the evening. As I said, this event is a fundraiser for two necessary and
worthy charities. The event starts at 9pm and is at Farrell Hall in Perth -
tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Shadowfax in Perth and The Miller's
Tale in Almonte. To get in you will need to bring a donation of food or an
additional $5 ($15 total).
Take care and we hope you all have a healthy and happy holiday season!

DIY Gig Listing - Monthly Update Dec 2006 - Ottawa Blues, Jazz & Swing Guide
by BluesAndJazzGuy
Hi All,
Hopefully you'll get this as I'm trying out the Ottawa Musicians list service National Capital Freenet
has set up for me to maintain my musicians' contact that Sympatico no longer supports.
Each month more musicians, venues, promoters and others involved in live music events in Ottawa
and area use the service provided by the DIY calendar.
If haven't already updated any gig listings you have for this and future months, it's a good
time now to review the DIY schedule to add any new gigs you'd like listed, update any that have
changed and delete any repetitive gigs that have ended of been temporarily suspended.
Just Click www.localendar.com.
Then, enter 'mygig' in the User ID and 'giglist' as the password.
This will access the schedule for the current month. On that page you can
add gigs for either the current or future months. You can move to the next
or other months using the right arrow. This allows you to see what upcoming gigs
are listed for you and to adjust them if necessary.
The link below gives a more graphic illustration to using this service that
should help you work with it for your listings:

Please save this e-mail for future use.

If for some reason, you prefer not to receive these and other notes I
send in support of spreading the word on the wealth of great music in
Ottawa and area, just let me know and I'll remove you from the list.
