Seasonal Best Wishes to Ottawa Musicians - Spreading the Word on Live Blues, Jazz & Other Possibilities

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've posted anything to this list although some
Ottawa musicians have taken advantage of the service the last several
months.
First, I'd like to extend compliments of the season to everyone on this
list that's provided for the use of Ottawa musicians, venues and people speaking
on their behalf.
Besides the Ottawa Blues, Jazz & Swing Guide calendar where musicians, venues
etc. can post their gigs, the following are other avenues where you can also send
info on your upcoming events to be sent to the subscriber lists involved:

If you're not a Facebook member, the above link gives you the
opportunity to join and spread the word using a new feature, an
Events area on this group.

I've tested the capability of this service and it has promise if used. As a test,I
entered the details of the upcoming John Geggie New Year's Eve bash at NAC 4th
Stage. If you check it out, you will note that there is plenty of capacity to copy
and paste the full details of a gig in the Events area that is easy to use.

DIY Calendar Listing Process reminder:
Just Click www.localendar.com.
Then, enter 'mygig' in the User ID and 'giglist' as the password.
This will access the schedule for the current month. On that page you can
add gigs for either the current or future months.
You can move to the next or other months using the right arrow. This allows you
to see what upcoming gigs are listed for you and to adjust them if necessary.
The link below gives a more graphic illustration to using this service that
should help you work with it for your listings:

NOTE: If a clip art image is uploaded to appear on the calendar, it needs to
be not wider than 130 pixels. Should you not have the software to resize an
image, please send it to me and I'll resize and upload it.
