Hi,
I if you have a moment, I found you online and was hoping that you could point me in the direction of some good Ottawa Jazz Bass Players.
My name is Jamie Ruben,
I am a guitarist/composer www.jamieruben.com . I have been getting a lot of work this year doing something called McCafe Music Tour where I get sent around Ontario to do 2 hour original jazz gigs at McDonald's locations..
It has actually been quite fun..
When around Toronto, I use my own band, but when we go further, I am sometimes asked to book locals to play with.
I have 3 gigs in Ottawa, two on June 30 and 1 on July 1. and I was wondering if you could recomend good Ottawa Bass players.
My Music is perhaps "eclectic". It can be upright or electric players, need to be alright reading charts, good feel, and preferably an adventurous and creative musical spirit, although not a necesity.
The gigs pay $120 per person per gig for a 2 hour gig..
So, I was wondering if you may be able to send some names of bass players who might be good for the gig in Ottawa. If you know several, feel free to send them all. It is canada day weekend, so I know it may be tough to find someone available for all of them..
Thanks a lot for your time,
I really appreciate it..
Sincerely,
Jamie
