Vocal Harmony Circles January 2016
Tuesdays, 7 – 8 PM: Bonnie Raitt Songs 10 weeks –
Tuesdays, 8-9 PM: Folk Singing Circle 10 weeks -
Wednesdays 7-8 PM: Ultra Beginner 10 weeks -
Wednesdays 8-9 PM: Songs of the 1960s 10 weeks -
What is the Vocal Harmony Circles program?
Each class is filled with singing!
We put together groups of singers with similar vocal abilities, or we also coach harmony groups that are already formed.
We help you choose music, develop your singing abilities, learn how to listen to each other and blend together as a group, explore different kinds of part-singing, learn more about printed music, pick harmonies that work, and have a whole lot of fun along the way!
Here are some of the Vocal Harmony Circles highlights you receive:
- Work closely with a full-time, award-winning musician.
- Perform live at GigSpace, one of Ottawa’s finest intimate listening venues.
- You have input in the songs you sing and you can work on original tunes.
- You will learn how to work together as a vocal group, unify your sound, and create a blend.
- You will learn how to make your own custom arrangements.
- You will learn about vocal writing and explore your music ideas.
- You can invite your friends to hear you sing on stage at GigSpace.
- A dedicated group vocal harmony coach means establishing continuity from week to week: she knows your voice, she knows your sound, she knows your arrangements.
- Your group vocal harmony coach will be with you all the way helping you progress, cheering you on, helping you grow your musicianship and singing skills, and bringing out your best!
