Here is an updated sampling of live music opportunities listed this week of note on the

a.. Wednesday 4 Feb,
- Wednesday Night Jazz with Tim Bedner Guitar, Mark Alcorn, Baritone Guitar and
Marilee Townsend Drums with special guest Zakari Frantz on Alto Sax. Every Wednesday
in February at Café Nostalgica.

- Open Mic Electric Jam at Bass Line Station.
b.. Thursday, 5 Feb,
- the Stellar Cast Blues Showcase at Irene's hosted by Mike Ktenas and Corky Kealey,
with
weekly guest hosts and sit-ins by Ottawa's best roots musicians. This week - the jam
is
hosted by southern rock guitar virtuoso, Robert Farrell.
- SOULGRÜV, a new band brought to you by the creators of Big Band Caravane is at The
New Bayou Music Hall with a bit of soul, a bit of swing, a bit of blues and a bit of
funk in
tribute to Aretha, Colin James, Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder. For Info Call:

Saturday 7 Feb, Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Kellylee Evans, Canada's Jazz Angel
of the
heavenly vocals, makes a hometown stop on her winter tour in Ottawa to perform at a
fundraiser in support of newly re-furbished Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts &
Humanities.
Kellylee will be performing songs from her upcoming CD, "The Good Girl". The
album is slated
for release in early 2009 and once again features her original material.
And, much like her first album, the music is an eclectic mix touching on soul, jazz, R
& B and
world music styles. This performance will be a special treat for Kellylee and her Ottawa
area
and more audience as it takes place her birthday and will be recorded for CBC Canada
Live.
