Subject: Revelstoke Hydro outage - flood plain
Hi Folks,
We got a notice from Hydro Ottawa that they were turning the power off all day on Friday April 24.
Bruce and I will be away that day and we were worried about the sump pump being inoperable, with no power to it, as the pump is working regularly all day now to keep our basement afloat.
I called Hydro at 613-738-5499 x7217<tel:613-738-5499%20x7217> and asked them to solve this problem. He said they would postpone the outage for us all and reschedule. They will let us know when the power will be out for the rescheduled date by use of flyers. In the meantime he told me to tell the neighbours.
Please pass this around to the Revelstoke gang affected.

Can you help?

Hello neighbours,
As you may know, the Canadian Cancer Society door-to-door campaign and daffodil sales take place in April.
I have been the Team Captain for the door-to-door campaign in our neighbourhood for many years. Unfortunately we have not had enough canvassers in recent years to cover the entire neighbourhood. Each canvasser is assigned a section , about 15-20 houses. The canvassing can be done any time before the end of April. If you can spare just a few hours this month to go door-to-door on your street, please contact me.
Any high school students who volunteer can count this as community service hours.
To those who have done this in previous years, thank you.
