info re: foxes
by Marita Moll
Hello neighbours. Many of you will have heard about and/or seen that the
foxes in our neighbourhood are suffering from a form of mange -- they
have lost most of their hair, look thin and sickly. This form of mange
is unique to foxes and does NOT pose a danger to humans or other
animals. It is usually fatal to the foxes however and we know that one
of them has already died.
This week, Peggy Ritchie contacted the city and our counselor and the
message was passed on to Lynne Rowe,Wildlife Custodian, Holly's Haven
Wildlife Rescue in Dunrobin.
Lynne informed Peggy that someone named Joanne in our neighbourhood
contacted them and they provided her with medication that she was able
to give the fox. Apparently, the fox should get better over the next few
weeks. This would be wonderful because many of us had despaired of ever
seeing the foxes again.
If Joanne is on this list or if someone knows her, please let her know
that many are grateful for her quick action. Perhaps we can get some
coordination going to keep an eye on the fox (or foxes). As Lynne said
in her e-mail, they are beautiful and intelligent animals.

Help - I need a new deck
by BARBARA MILLAR
Hi everyone
Barb Millar here at 169 Leopolds [b.millar(a)rogers.com]
Foolishly, perhaps, last autumn I had my very sick deck taken away and am in desperate need of a new one. I am thinking I want a composite one - two levels.
Do any of you know of a reputable company/deck person who could fulfill this need?
CheersBarb

Hi. Peggy or Marita could you post this to the inner circle list serve
please. With my recent email change I don’t think I can post it.
Thanks!
A young black cat with yellow eyes has been crying in the bushes in my
backyard since yesterday July 4, 2023. If anyone has lost a cat or knows
someone with an all black cat in the neighbourhood, please contact me.
It ate some kibble tonight but is very shy and will not come to us and
we cannot catch it.
Thanks
Martha Robinson
