April is coming. Can you help?

Hi friends and neighbours,
I am on my annual quest to find canvassers to go door-to-door for the Canadian Cancer Society this April.
We have not had any canvassers to do Kamloops, Leopolds, and a large part of Revelstoke for several years now.
Each canvasser’s route is 15-20 houses, and canvassing can be done anytime in April.
If you are interested, or know someone who is, please let me know.
Please pass this on to any high school students in the area who might need volunteer hours.
I’ll be away for a little while, so best to email or leave phone message, and I’ll get back to you after Easter.

pet turtle for a loving home

My daughter Andrea & her partner Robert are getting ready to sell their house and downsize. Amongst other things, they have a pet turtle to give away!
Here are the details:
- it’s a red eared slider tortoise, about 8 – 10” long
- not native, so cannot be let loose
- comes with a fully functioning aquarium, 4’ wide x 18” deep x 20” high
- includes a pump, a wooden stand, two electric lights
Please let me know if you or anyone you know would like to adopt this loving pet! I would make the arrangments for delivery.
