a.. Sunsday, Jan 31 - Sunday 31 Jan - DRUMMING UP SUPPORT!!! A benefit concert is
featured for the Stephen Lewis Foundation and Baobab Tree's Footsteps to Ghana
Campaign. Music and Dance from Ghana performed by Ottawa's Baobab Youth Performers,
with a special appearance by the Capital Grannies drumming group. 3-5 pm Concert
and reception at City View United Church, 6 Epworth Ave

e.. Wednesday 3 Feb - Peter Liu and the Jazz Mutants,'Jazz Evolution' are at The Lookout.
They host a monthly event in Ottawa, welcoming a different jazz band each month to play
their opening set at The Lookout Bar, in the very heart of the Byward Market. It's a
bias-free space...perfect for a bunch of Mutants!
f.. Thursday and Friday Feb 4 & 5 - at Elmdale House Tavern, 1084 Wellington Street,
$ 5 Admission for a Live CD Recording by Rocket Rached & The Fat City 8. Special
guests include some of Ottawa's finest musicians, Andrea Karam, Scott Doubt as well as,
2010 Maple Blues Award Winners, Tony D, Steve Marriner and Matt Sobb. Jed Rached

Vocalist/Trombonist Steve Berndt and pianist John Steele are at
the very cool Chelsea Pub.
We need your help!!! NAC is hosting a Haitian Earthquake Relief benefit culinary
event. This Thursday Ottawa's culinary community will donate their talents for
an incredibly important cause. We are still looking for silent auction items
for this Haitian relief benefit!

The Stellar Cast Blues Showcase continues its sucessful invitational jams at
Irene's 885 Bank St Ottawa Ont. hosted by Mike Ktenas and Corky Kealey,
with weekly guest hosts and sit-ins by Ottawa's best roots musicians. This week
Jed Rached guest hosts.

across from the Parkdale Market. Its a great combination - great music by local

Cover/Admission: $5. Proceeds support jam sessions and JazzWorks scholarships.All
