- Apex Jazz Band - 3 to 6 pm at Royal Oak, Kanata More
- Hugh O'Connor Duo - 4 to 7 pm is at Chez Lucien
- There's an open Jam with various host bands - 4 to 7 pm at The

There's Blues at Atomic Rooster an Open Blues/Rock jam 8 to 11 pm at
Le Petit Chicago and Jessamyn Greene and band perform live at Irene's

- Thare's Candle Light acoustic music with Jeff Rogers at Tucson's
- There's an Open Mic Acoustic Jam at Bass Line Station
c.. Thursday 27 Aug
- Check out the Stellar Cast Blues Showcase at Irene's 885 Bank St Ottawa Ont.
Hosted by Mike Ktenas and Corky Kealey, with weekly guest hosts and sit-ins by
Ottawa's best roots musicians. This week - John Yamensky.

d.. Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 Aug
The Limestone City Blues Festival will once again bring Downtown Kingston alive
with the sounds of the blues. For the first time ever, an opening night concert
for the Limestone City Blues Festival will be held at the K-Rock Centre.
Thursday August 27th will feature Blues & guitar legend Robert Cray with special
guest star, blues & gospel legend Mavis Staples. This is a blues festival where
blues is more than just a name.
Ottawa local band Wicked Grin will be performing Friday at BarNone - 394 Princess St -
as part of the Kingston Blues Festival and will be running an invitational jam as well.
Not everything is posted on the calendar as it's musician/venue optional to post,
and
amend the listings as needed. However there's more info on the calendar including
links to the venue web sites such as Rainbow Bistro, Tucson's, The Elmdale and Bass
Line
Station that have more detailed schedules.
It's also a good idea to call a venue to confirm that regular listings still apply
as they sometimes just quietly go away.
