- Magnolia Rhythm Kings are at Royal Oak, Kanata, traditional in form and style,
but adventurous in repertoire 3 to 6 pm at Royal Oak, Kanata
- Freddy Carriere & the Affordables are at Atomic Rooster from 6 to 9 pm
- Big Band Ballroom Blitz is at Glebe Community Centre 7 to 11 pm FEATURING
- SoulGrüv, one of the region's finest horn bands. Our bands, Big Band Caravane
and SoulGrüv, have been putting on ballroom dances for 7 years; we know what
dancers need - a very large hardwood floor, perfect for dancing, all styles of
ballroom dancing,free dance lesson with Lorna's Dance Collective and non-alcoholic

c.. Fryday 26 November/Sunday 28 November - Meditatus: Jazz Pieces for Choir is at
Orleans
United Church. Under the baton of Antonio Llaca, Coro Vivo Ottawa presents Meditatus:
Jazz
pieces for choir featuring a jazz mass by Norwegian Jan Gunnar Hoff, accompanied by
guitar,
piano, sax, percussion and double bass. Additional choral works by César A.Carillo and
Dave Brubeck will be performed. Friday November 26, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday
November 28 at 2:00 pm. Orleans United Church 1111 Orleans Blvd. Tickets: adults $ 20,

d.. Sunday 28 November - Almonte Big Band Tea Dance is at Almonte Old Town Hall at 14
Bridge
Street in Almonte. Combine a scenic Sunday afternoon drive to Almonte with dancing to
one of
the area's best big bands in an authentic period setting.
The next tea dance of the 2010/2011 season will be held on Sunday November 28th from 1
pm to 4 pm
in the historic Almonte Old Town Hall at 14 Bridge Street in Almonte, Ontario. This is
the fifth (!) season
of these very popular dances, which are hosted by the well known Almonte-based 14-piece
big band
Standing Room Only. The doors will open at 12:30 pm. Admission is $10 at the door (cash
only) plus a $
2 building improvement surcharge. Reservations are not required. Light refreshments will
be available
at very reasonable prices. The Almonte Old Town Hall has its own parking lot, and
there's lots of additional
