- Barrelhouse, a mature and diverse group of Ottawa musicians who bring a refreshing
approach to an unusual repertoire of eclectic rock tunes, is at Greenfield's.
- Journey To Boston, The Tribute to Classic Rock Bands Journey & Boston is at
Tucson's.
- JW-Jones: cited as one of this country's top blues guitar stars is at Rainbow
Bistro.
b.. Saturday, January 29
- DIVAS & DISTORTION at Greenfield's brings together three of Ottawa's best
female-fronted
rock bands for an electrifying evening of entertainment! THE FOXY-MORONS, THUNDERKITTY,
and
LOVE CIRCUS were born to be WILD, and will unite on Saturday, January 29th for a
three-act show garanteed to get your motor running!
- COUGAR's January Birthday Bash at Tucson's who proudly pays tribute to that
tradition with a
high energy, dance-your-face-off rock show. Hear all your favorite rock songs, from Pat
Benatar,
Heart, Rough Trade, Joan Jett, Allanah Myles and many more. Extraordinary vocals,
choreography
and dramatic staging make this show band a must-see.
COUGAR brings together three unique and accomplished vocalists with a wide range of rock
and
R&B influences to produce a high-energy entertainment experience. Leslie Rohonczy,
Joanne McCann,
and Alison Wilson, pay tribute to all the great female rockers throughout the 60's,
70's, 80's,
90's, and current chick rockers.
c.. Sunday, January 30, 2011 - Almonte Big Band Tea Dance is at Almonte Old Town Hall at
14 Bridge
Street in Almonte. Combine a scenic Sunday afternoon drive to Almonte with dancing to
one of
the area's best big bands in an authentic period setting....
....and early next month:
d.. Friday, February 4th - Come hear the smooth sounds of the Jazz Mutants performing a
wide range
of jazz standards in the friendly and family-owned Mooney's Bay Bistro, offering
delicious homemade
meals and desserts. There is no cover, and reservations are recommended
