Tuesday 1 Sep - Northern Lights Altai Khangai Jazz/Folk at Kailash Mital Theatre, Carleton U. Altai Khangai of Mongolia team up their traditional folk music with the spacious jazz of Calgary's Northern Lights Quartet for a sound that is entirely new and refreshing. Horse fiddles, traditional violins and throat singing add an ethereal element to this evocative music. Tickets $20 at www.instantseats.com or at the door.
