20 October 2010
Just highlighting a couple of events this week that are on the calendar.
a.. Thursday 21 October
- Peter Brown is at St James Gate, Carleton Place. Jazz is back on Thursday
nights at St James Gate in Carleton Place. The new format is once a month
on the third Thursday of the month. Hours are later, 8:30 pm to 11 pm, and
we're hoping for a good turnout to encourage the new owner to keep live music
happening. The format will be a different special guest and myself each
time. The first show is this Thursday, October 21 and the special guest is
virtuoso award-winning guitarist Lucas Haneman.
- JazzWorks Monthly Jam is at Carleton Tavern from 8:30 pm
to midnight.
b.. Saturday, 23 October - Doug Martin is at Swan-on-the-Rideau.
Located at 2730 River Rd. just outside Manotick. River Rd. is same as
Riverside Dr. Check the website:

c.. Sunday 24 October
- Almonte Big Band Tea Dance is from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Combine
a scenic fall Sunday afternoon drive to Almonte with dancing to one of the area's
