CONSTRUCTIVE POINTS
1. Guindon Cup
2. Worlds Researching Meeting
3. Novice Representative
4. Chancellor's Cup
1. All debaters competing at this weekend's Guindon Cup are invited to
meet outside the Steacie Building at 3:30, where we will take the free
shuttle to U of O. Otherwise, everyone participating in this
tournament is expected to be at the Lamoureux Building on the U of O
campus for 4pm to register.
2. At noon tomorrow, there will be a Worlds-style knowledge and
researching session held in the MacOdrum Library, in room 411, hosted
by Padraic Ryan, for the Father Roger Guindon Cup tournament at the
University of Ottawa. We will be using periodicals, books, the
Internet and more to increase our knowledge of world affairs in order
to have a strategic advance in the upcoming tournaments. Check
CUSIDnet for details.
3. The election for the Novice Representative has been postponed to
the Wed, Oct. 18 debate meeting. Only those with novice status may
vote; any novices interested in the position have untill this meeting
to declare the candidacy. Any novices who cannot attend can send a
proxy by emailing the executive beforehand.
4. Anyone interested in attending the Chancellor's Cup at Queen's
University needs to either email the executive or post on CUSIDnet, so
that the number of teams we are sending can be allocated the next
business meeting.
