CU Debating: Do your part to help the tsunami victims

Do not reply to this address.* * In this Issue: * * Debate-a-thon for Tsunami Victims * Upcoming Tournaments * Meeting Time Update *Debate-a-thon for Tsunami Victims* Next Monday (January 24), the Carleton University Debating Society, along with the University of Ottawa English Debating Society (EDS), and other CUSID members from across the country will be holding a 24-hour long debating marathon to raise money for tsunami relief efforts. Inspired by the efforts of EDS debater Jamie Furniss, who after winning the World Championships dropped everything to help relief efforts in Indonesia, we hope to do our part in helping to relieve the suffering occurring in southeast Asia. We will be starting at 9am on Monday at the University of Ottawa's University Centre and ending at 9am the following Tuesday.
