I dropped off a few things at this event. It was well co-ordinated and
interesting that there was a group similar to ours there. The word
"world" was in the name and I didn't have a pencil or anything to write
it down. I asked about the group and the lady said that they donate
computers to needy countries. I mentioned that we did the same but for
local non-profits and charities and gave her my C4C card.
They did a triage of stuff as it came in and presumably the computer
guys would use some of the donated equipment for their purposes.
There was a lineup of cars at 9:30 so I think they would have had no
trouble getting a ton of equipment.
Might be an idea if Dave's garage ever starts to get empty. We'd need a
big truck, lots of strong hands and a place - church, school - maybe
another non-profit to share in the $$. Heritage?
